As we round out January 2014, many GREAT excursions are planned within Cashiers, Sapphire, Highlands, Glenville, NC and surrounding areas. Sight-seeing is always a must! We have such a beautiful area to explore. Our area is full of wonderful trails, views and experiences to rejuvenate the soul! If your calendar permits, I highly recommend taking in these views and experiencing new and great things that our area has to offer.
The Sapphire Valley Community Center hosts many activities throughout the year for visitors and residents alike to become familiar with our little piece of heaven. The slopes are also still open, so get there and ski, snowboard or go tubing!

It may be cold outside, but there are wintery sites to see!! As always, the hiking trails in the area are ready and available to you. Whether you are ready to conquer the trails at Whiteside Mountain or you are feeling like Gorges State Park with its Rainbow Falls and Turtleback Falls, Sapphire and surrounding areas offer so many scenic spots for recreation. Whitewater Falls isn’t that far of a drive from there. Don’t forget about Panthertown as another great spot to see the glorious mountains! Life is an adventure.
